AMAN successfully completed an inter college debate, organized in collaboration with Jesus and Mary College, University of Delhi. The debate was held at the Jesus and Mary College Auditorium on the 25th February 2010 from 10 am. The theme for the debate was "Radicalism in the pursuit of liberty is no vice". More than fifteen colleges partcipated in the debate, with three outstation teams. The best team prize was won by CBS while NLS stood second.

Screening of Autumn's Final Country |

AMAN concluded the screening of film "Autumn's Final Country" by Sonia Jabbar. It was followed by a discussion with the director on 22nd February 2010 from 11 am to 1 pm at Indraprastha College for Women, University of Delhi. The film is a narrative of displaced women in Kashmir. AMAN co-hosted the event with the Women's Development Centre, Indraprastha College for Women, University of Delhi. More than 200 student and faculty members were present at the screening and the film was widely appreciated by the audience.
This was the fifth in the series of our programmes on the theme of Campaigns on Conflict Resolution and Peace building in which AMAN is collaborating with different colleges of Delhi.

Primary Health Care Centre |

AMAN, with assistance from European Commission for Humanitarian Organisation (ECHO) and a local organization set up the Primary Health Care and Recuperative Centre in a remote village of Mattipora in Baramulla district in September 2004. The project saw active participation of the local community in not only mobilising people of the district to take part in the programme but also in providing voluntary labour and services in running the centre. In the last five year, the Centre has provided medical services to over 15000 patients. The Centre is the only quality medical facility for 30 surrounding villages. After the start up support from ECHO, the programme has been supported by organisations such as the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation, National Foundation of India and IGSSS.
